Unsettling Allies: Decolonizing Pathways, Principles and Practices of Reconciliation and Transformation
Dr. Paulette Regan is the author of Unsettling the Settler Within: Indian Residential Schools, Truth Telling, and Reconciliation in Canada. Formerly the research director for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC), she was the senior researcher and lead writer on the Reconciliation Volume of the TRC Final Report.
In Unsettling Allies: Decolonizing Pathways, Principles and Practices of Reconciliation and Transformation, Paulette will draw on her work in Unsettling the Settler Within in the context of the TRC’s vision and framework of reconciliation to talk about how using "unsettling" or decolonizing principles, strategies and practices in one’s everyday life and work supports truth, justice and reconciliation.
This workshop is open to Selkirk College employees.
