Your Education Assistant & Community Support Worker (EACSW) certificate serves as your prerequisite for entry into the following Human Services Diploma Specialty for a total of two years of study at Selkirk College. These specialties are the Child & Youth Care Specialty and the Social Service Worker Human Services Diploma Specialty. These can be taken by EACSW certificate graduates - additional bridging courses are required.
Please note that students planning to transfer into a degree program at another post-secondary institution MUST check the transfer requirements of the program they wish to enrol in. It is strongly recommended that students consult with the program advisor of the receiving institution to ensure that they have all of the necessary transfer requirements.

Complete the EACSW Certificate
Step 2. Take the Human Services Diploma
Child & Youth Care (CYC) Speciality at Selkirk College
Step 3: Transfer into your field of choice:
A. Bachelor of Child & Youth Care
Transfer to one of our university partners: University of Victoria, Vancouver Island University, University of Fraser Valley, Douglas College
OR
B. Bachelor Community Rehabilitation
Transfer to University of Calgary
Complete the EACSW Certificate
Step 2: Transfer into Employment Supports Specialty
Transfer to get an Advanced Certificate at Douglas College
