Learn to Critically Analyze Media Content
Join a hands-on workshop that seeks to empower people with tools and methods to critically analyze the media content they interact with so they can become active users rather than passive consumers. These are essential skills, especially for those concerned about social and environmental justice.
Participants will learn and practice how to help bridge divisions and foster constructive dialogue within their communities.
Drawing on the groundbreaking research of Nolan Higdon and Mickey Huff (2022), workshop facilitators Aaron Korbachs and Jacob Martens will help attendees better identify and dissect propaganda, spot fake-news stories, understand ideology and representation in media, and cultivate more mindfulness regarding their information environments.
