An Immersive Experience of Ukraine

The event is organized by the VR Museum of War in Ukraine, Maple Hope Foundation, Unissued Diplomas and the Sunflower Project, with support from the Mir Centre for Peace at Selkirk College.

War is always catastrophic, yet short news reports rarely convey the impacts in a way we can fully understand.

This exhibit uses state-of-the-art technologies—including virtual reality (VR) goggles, 360-degree panoramic images and drone footage—to create an immersive experience, allowing you to witness the destruction of cities and hear the stories of those affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine.

It also features works by photographers who risked their lives to document the extensive damage caused by Russian bombardment, as well as artwork by children displaced due to the war.

The goal is to raise awareness of the immense human costs of war and build support for a just peace in Ukraine.

This is a free, drop-in event.
