Through several research internships with Selkirk Innovates, Leeza discovered her passion for social science research. She contributes to multiple research projects, including State of the Basin and Bridging Rural Homelessness and Well-being: A Sustainable and Collaborative Regional Response.
Leeza is currently studying remotely in the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies Program at Royal Roads University. She anticipates completing her degree in 2025. Her thesis research explores the role of rural community-college partnerships in sustainable community development.
