Robert’s research interests are in geographic technologies such as GIS, lidar, and UAV/drone applications. Other professional interests are in new technology trends, open data and databases and teaching.
Robert has a Bachelor of Arts (Geography major) from Mount Allison University and a Master of Science (Applied Geomatics) from Acadia University. Upon completion of his graduate work, Robert moved to California to work for a GIS software company. He loves staying current in new technological trends and trying those technologies in the field.
In his spare time he tries to stay active through exercise, being outdoors, and spending time with his wife and dog.
